Got a flyer from a farm store this morning. Interesting product called "The Racquet Zapper" in it. It appears to be a long-handled pingpong paddle that proably carries the batteries in the handle-doesn't say, but needs power to zap. Basically it is a hand-held version of the hanging electric bug zappers people love so much. I assume there is an electric fan type cover over the zapper part (please, there has to be!). The ad reads "Zaps mosquitoes, flies and other pests. Very effective"
Don't know if we're going to see any EMS/ER problems from this, but it won't be from a lack of trying on the little dears part. If the little kiddies can get the outer cover off this (assuming there is one)they are going to have some fun. The ad doesn't say how powerful this product is, but it looks like the handle could hold multiple C or D cells. I know I would have tried my best to fry my stupid little brother with one... and if frying hadn't worked, a general pounding would have occured. (Don't worry, he survived childhood, did very well in track too. Ran like the Hounds of Hell were pursuing him.)
