I learned this remedy from a neighbor who learned it ,as a young Army wife in Germany, from an elderly German woman. Works too, maybe not as well as "modern medicine" since it came back in a different location a few months later but after being told I needed to go to the clinic and what would be done (Needles? In my EYE!!!!!) it worked just fine for me.
Take a regular tea bag and soak it in very warm water-be careful, "baby bottle warm" as tested with a finger or on your wrist might still be too hot for the eye area. Then slap the tea bag on your eye. If you can squosh the bag a bit and get some of the tea into your eye, so much the better. Ideally lay down to help the tea get into your eye and stay there. Repeat often throughout the day and change the tea bag, water and cup frequently.
