Found at Plainsman's Cabin:
"Recently my wife found a helpful thing to deal with asthma problems. It is food based
and requires a juicer.
You obtain a nice pineapple, a container of alfalfa sprouts and you are ready to begin.
Wash the pineapple thoroughly, cut off the green top and a portion of the bottom and
then cut the critter in half lengthwise.
Cut the half of the pineapple in thin strips no more than 1/2 inch wide the length of the
fruit. Take a good half of the container of alfalfa and run through the juicer along with
the fruit. Drink the results which should equal a cup or more.
I find that within seconds of drinking the liquid my breathing improves and I am able to
breath quite well through my nose as opposed to mouth breathing.
When my wife told me about this after attending a health seminar I thought it was a
snake oil type idea, but after a bout of breathing problems and having to use the hated nebulizer I became a believer.
The inhaler goes where I go for emergencies but the pineapple is preffered at home.
