Just a little tidbit for you. KI is listed as a substance that can be used to thin cervical mucous which may increase fertility. Robitussin (expectorant only) is commonly used in fertility for this purpose.

My point is, that in the event that KI is needed, a female may be more fertile, and I am pretty sure that taking KI during pregnancy may affect babies thyroid. So use extra precautions.

Anither tidbit. Here is a site that sells really cheap pregnancy test. They will be trying to branch out into other urinalysis test soon. For those that are stocking a community medical chest, this might be a worthwhile look. The preg test are no frills dirt cheap.

if people ever have to take shelter, you *KNOW* there is going to be a population boom 9 months later! Every time there is a black out, there has been a spike in the birth rate that coincider, and these were for hours or a day at most... make people hunker down for weeks or months and there won't be a non-pregnant female in the area.

got condems? - not enough!

thanks for the pointer to the test kit site!

Very good info to know. As Tangent pointed out, the chances of a population explosion nine months later *without* the benefit of increased fertility is reason enough to exercise caution. Forget condoms, try seperate bunkers. ;-)
