That's right! And the only thing wrong with being oncall every other night is that you miss 1/2 the interesting patients.







OT (sort of)


Gunner #1 encounters Gunner #2 at the library, and says to her "I see you're reading Wood's microbiology text --- I just finished reading it the 2nd time." Gunner #2 replies -- "It's *much better* reading the 3rd time!"


Back in the day, when (at least in my neighborhood), *all* medical students were gunners. And M3's had the additional designation of "wedge." No one was quite sure where "wedge" came from, but the legend developed that it was because they were easy to kick around and held things open. :o:
