is Susun Weed's "Wise Woman Herbal for the Childbearing Year".
Do be aware that the book contains herbals to induce abortion. Since abortion is in direct opposition to my beliefs I consider those herbals to avoid, but wanted to make others aware of it.
The book is written for midwives and is quite advanced.
In some cases though the herbs suggested are not really ideal for a homebirth situation when medical help is not readily available. The use of Cayenne specifically.
Cayenne acts as a vasoconstrictor if ingested and stops the bleeding right away, but the effect only lasts for about half an hour so you shouldn't use Cayenne unless you are just trying to buy time to get to a hospital, and hospital back-up is available.
I hadn't seen much reference to herbal medicine during pregnancy and thought I'd put this out there.
