there is an interesting artical on autism in last months WIRED magazine. It talks about it being genetic and related to ausbergers(sp?) syndrom, this latter condition is common in people that work in scientific and technical fields. When 2 of them marry and reproduce, an autistic child is often the result.

was looking through books this evening and stumbled across a statement in a herbal medicine book, under choline, that said that studies have indicated that autistic children often have a deficiency in acetacholine, so choline suplements (or alot of fish in the diet) may help, as this is a precursor.

There has been quite a bit of evidence to indicate that the MMR vaccine can produce autism in young children. In fact France and Japan have yanked the MMR vaccine from their pediatric vaccination guidelines.

There was a study done in the last year under the House of Representatives to determine the credibility of the MMR vaccine and it's link to Autism. The study found that there is no sufficent evidence to support this link. However, the study researchers left themselves an out by indicating that the study was by no means definite or entirely exhaustive, a point that was taken to task by an Indiana Rep. (can't remember the name right now, but I do know that his kid was autistic.).

Im not going to bag you for posting. But please go and read the literature on this topic. Following the initial claim from one researcher it has been researched to death - a brief search on medline will turn up the sentinal articles. There is no link between the triple vaccine and autism. I have a few problems with some of the vaccines but MMR isnt one of them - hersay dosnt help discussion on these sorts of topics, the evidence is there.

Having seen newborns and kids devastated by Measles, I assure all that I support this vaccine. Look at ALL the studies and draw your own conclusions. Japan has a different vaccine development process and use theory, France thinks Jerry Lewis is a genius and is dominated by the worst sort of big brother "I know whats best for you, and you will like it" thinking that is the antithesis of free intellectual inquiry and rational scientific discourse. Anything promulgated by the French government health apparatus is immediatly suspect.

Of course thats just my opinion.

I seen the report on heavy metals in herbal medicine....Why not do
a story on Mercury poisoned children from RhoGam and the Flu Vaccine?
These children are suffering serious injurys from mercury poisoning, and
some continue to get worse with each injection of Mercury via the Flu
Vaccine. Pregnant women are told to avoid mercury from fish. Yet they
were injected with 35 mcg of mercury via RhoGam! The EPA limit for
Ingesting mercury is 0.01mcg!
