Swedish Military Pressure Cooker
$49.95
"This a 35 liter (approximately 36 U.S. quarts) heavy duty aluminum military pressure cooker. We don't have any information on how to use these cookers, and no instructions are available or included. They appear to be unused and complete. This could also be used as a regular x-large cooking pot."

What do you guys think? Seems like a nice price, good capacity, looks a bit non-standard and has no instructions.... hmmm...

retail for same size comercial unit at local store is $100. Swiss surplus sells for $50 + $50 in shipping. swiss unit looks heavy whitch is good for campfire use. Not so good for travel light. mine has metal to metal rather than rubber seals. I suspect the swiss unit is similar.
still like this one best

I have one of those suckers... Bought 2 and sold the other one off this board - at cost!
It's a bit small on capacity if we are talking IV solutions....
GREAT multifuel autoclave!

Ouch! I paid about $85 for mine NIB. Agree that it is nifty but limited in capacity.

Im getting 2 more pressure cookers for the farm.
All American is the brand that has no Rubber gasket. you pay a premium but they last a forever or until you over cook it with the water all gone.
FYI im bidding on 2 used ones on ebay that close in 4 days so dont read this and bid against me! thanks

all american makes one specifically for autoclave use. the difference is a tube from the inside of the vent extending down to the level just above the water. If using a standard pressure canner you have to wait 10 min after steam starts to vent to make sure the air is purged out by the steam. the tube on the inside grabs the air from the bottom rather than the steam from the top so you can bypass the extra 10 min step. simply adding a flexible copper line to the inside of a standard pressure canner gets you the same result.
