Saw on the local news 2 nights ago that a bird used to monitor for the virus had tested positive for it. Did not hear the whole story, caught it on the tail end of it, but as far as I know there haven't been any reported human cases around here.

Just been perusing my email since returning late this evening. ProMed list is abuzz with reports of human infections across the US. Going to be a job just getting caught up. WNV seems to be growing by leaps and bounds the past month.
